LGBTQ+ HISPANIC AND LATINX SOCIAL GROUP

WCIP celebrates Warrick County’s Hispanic and Latinx LGBTQ+ family. This group aims to create a space where LGBTQ+ Hispanic and Latinx people can be themselves and talk to someone they can identify with in the community. We seek to promote equality, fairness, and visibility within our Community and to engage, educate, and encourage inclusivity with community leaders and allies. We strive to spread LGBTQ+ pride, diversity, and individuality throughout Warrick County.

TRANSGENDER
GROUP

The WCIP Transgender Group is for trans individuals 18 years of age and older to come together and make a change within the community, as well as provide helpful resources regarding various transgender concerns. We hope to achieve this in a variety of ways, such as organizing activist volunteer opportunities, attending LGBTQ+ events together, encouraging fundraising to provide transitional aid to local members, and/or just being there for each other within a transgender-only group. The WCIP Transgender Group strives to build a solid, trustworthy, and safety foundation for transgender people within the community, as well as create a safe space for us to celebrate our existence and individuality.

LGBTQ+ PARENTS’
GROUP

Welcome! This group is for any parent who offers unconditional love and support to LGBTQ+ kids in Warrick County. If you are 100% an ally to kids who don’t fit the cis-het idea of gender or sexuality, this group is for you. If you tirelessly advocate for kids who are anywhere on the rainbow spectrum in Warrick County and accept them for who they are, this group is for you. This group seeks to combine our work to advocate alongside each other and these kids, inform ourselves and everyone around us, and most of all celebrate these amazing humans that we get to help grow into beautiful adults. We want a more inclusive Warrick County for EVERYONE, and we aren’t afraid to work on ourselves and in our community to make that happen.

PANSEXUAL GROUP

For the first time in the Tri-State there is an option to participate in a Pansexual group. You may do so through WCIP and our Facebook group. It is hoped that socializing and participating openly in our LGBTQ+ cultural events will increase understanding of the Pansexual Community. Pansexual people are gender blind in choices of romantic, emotional, or sexual attraction to others. We will observe Pansexual Visibility day on 5/24. Please share your personal thoughts and experiences through the WCIP Pansexual Facebook group on being a pansexual person or your path to discovering you are pansexual. We are not having in-person meetings until COVID-19 cases improve.

As  allies to the LGBTQ+ community we are dedicated to advocate for equal rights. We are committed to making ourselves accessible so those we advocate for never have to feel alone. We are here to listen, comfort, and encourage progress in the LGBTQ+ community.  We are also here as allies to the friend and family member wanting to support a loved one in the community.  In order to accomplish these objectives we will participate in local community events and reach out to and engage with  individuals, businesses, social groups, and area religious organizations  who want to make a difference as allies.
